A Montreal police officer grabbed and dragged Ricochet Media’sjournalist Ethan Cox while denying him access to a designated media area near a building fire, the publication editor and journalist said. 

Twitter withholds Canada-based Sikh media after Indian government request

In response to a request from the Indian government, Twitter (currently called X) prevented users in India from viewing the account of Canadian media organization Baaz News, which covers the global Sikh and Punjabi diaspora. 

Journalist assaulted at protest in Surrey, B.C.

Sameer Kaushal, a journalist and news director at Sher E Punjab Radio, was harassed and assaulted by protesters outside an event held by the Indian high commissioner in Surrey, B.C.  Protesters opposed to Indian government policies in Punjab had blocked the entrance to the event.
