An Ontario Superior Court justice dismissed a $30-million defamation lawsuit against Yahoo Canada and Elizabeth Di Filippo, an editor at the publication.

Alberta government report accuses media of being propagandists for climate change activists

The Public Inquiry into Anti-Alberta Energy Campaigns in January 2021 accused major news outlets in Canada of including “propagandized climate change issues in their reporting,” drawing sharp criticism from the Canadian Association of Journalists. 

CBC wrong to fire Manitoba journalist after their private messages used to justify termination, rules arbitrator

An arbitrator ruled that CBC “acted improperly” in firing CBC Manitoba journalist Ahmar Khan after a “chain of events” that began when he posted a tweet in which he described remarks Don Cherry made on Coach’s Corner as “xenophobic” and “deplorable.”
