The Alberta government banned media cameras from a public town hall in Red Deer, Alta., where the premier and a panel including MLAs spoke.
Ahead of the event, journalists reported that the official notice of the meeting stated that journalists were not allowed to film or photograph inside the town hall. The event was livestreamed.
The government subsequently announced that one media organization would be allowed to provide a pool camera.
There was no opportunity for journalists to ask questions at the event, Global News reported.
The Alberta government banned cameras from a July 16 town hall in Sherwood Park, and denied access to journalists at a town hall in Okotoks on July 2.
