TVA journalist spat on

A man yelled and spat at TVA journalists Catherine Bouchard and a camera operator just after they had filmed a live report in Montreal. 

In a video Bouchard shared on social media, the man can be seen yelling and swearing at the journalists before raising his fists and threatening them. He can later be seen spitting at them and on their vehicle. 

“The problem is that 10-15 years ago, this kind of character just wanted to be a clown in front of the lens. Now he wants to fight us. This reflects a hostility against the media that we feel every day,” Bouchard wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
